Riccardo Mascolo is Head of Strategy and Business Development for South East Mediterranean within our Market Area Europe and atin America, Riccardo is responsible for the development and execution of the Ericsson strategy, supporting customers across 15 countries to grow their business. Since joining Ericsson in 1995, Riccardo has held various managerial positions in the areas of Marketing and Sales: mobile and fixed network infrastructure, multimedia platforms, system integration for major telecom operators. Riccardo started in the Research and Development Division, where he held various roles: system manager, technical coordinator, product owner and project manager in various product areas. In 1998, he took the role as technical manager to develop and advance the core network, working closely with Italian customers, before progressing to European markets as Strategic Product Manager in Sweden for the development of UMTS network. In his working experience Riccardo spent medium to long periods abroad, where he created the basis of international experience that helped him in the career development. From 2009 he has been driving Ericsson’s strategy, marketing and business development across Italy and the southern Mediterranean area. Riccardo is now leading the Strategy, Innovation, and Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility for customers in 15 countries across the South East Mediterranean. Born in Rome, graduated in Electronic Engineering at "La Sapienza" University of Rome and completed his studies in management including Strategic Marketing Executive Program at SDA Bocconi School of Management (2011) and Advanced Finance for managers at the Luiss School of Management (2005).
